Australian Online Casino / Bonus terms

Read the bonus terms before treating a bonus as balance

Updated:

A bonus can change the withdrawal rules for both bonus funds and associated winnings. Do not calculate its value until the terms say which funds are included and which games count.

Find these seven lines

  1. Minimum deposit and eligible payment method.
  2. Wagering multiplier and whether it applies to bonus, deposit or both.
  3. Eligible games and contribution percentages.
  4. Maximum bet while the bonus is active.
  5. Expiry date and what happens when it passes.
  6. Maximum conversion or withdrawal amount.
  7. Account, country, KYC and one-bonus-per-person restrictions.

Conditional example, not an offer

Wording in termsDeposit A$100 + bonus A$50Turnover example
35× bonus only35 × A$50A$1,750
35× deposit and bonus35 × A$150A$5,250
35× deposit or bonus, whichever is statedCannot decide without the exact clauseAsk support before depositing

The arithmetic is illustrative. Turnover is the sum of qualifying stakes, not a required cash balance and not a guaranteed loss. Reinvested winnings may count only where the published terms say so. A slot contribution such as 100%, 20% or 0% also changes the amount of qualifying play.

When the bonus should be declined

Do not accept a promotion if the operator will not show expiry, maximum bet, eligible games or the withdrawal consequence. A banner headline is not the full contract. Save the exact terms and the date you read them because promotions can change.

The ACMA information about prohibited online casino services is a separate legal check; bonus mathematics cannot make an offshore service legal in Australia. For the wider checklist, return to the Australian guide.
